Preamble The Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling at TUKE places emphasis not only on professional knowledge but also on the social behavior and moral attitudes of its students. The aim of the student code of ethics is to contribute to ensuring that faculty students, both during their studies and after graduation, are dignified representatives of the faculty, not only as outstanding professionals, but also as bearers of ethical principles.
1. Students are aware of their affiliation with the university, faculty, and its academic departments (institutes). They are proud of their affiliation with the Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy, and Recycling at TUKE. In their activities, they always act in a manner that preserves its dignity and high social standing. They respect its name, symbols, academic officials, teaching staff, and other employees of the faculty and university.
2. Students express their opinions freely and politely. They are honest, respectful, and sensitive to the needs of others. They accept and help meet the needs of their classmates, are tolerant and considerate, and build relationships based on trust and understanding.
3. Students always behave with dignity, respect, and courtesy toward faculty staff and students, as well as toward people from other institutions and the general public, while observing the rules of social interaction.
4. Students shall not knowingly violate any law or official regulation in Slovakia or abroad. They shall not violate the internal regulations of the faculty and university, or the regulations of other institutions in which they are active during their studies as participants in student mobility or professional internships.
5. Students shall comply with the study regulations of TUKE. They shall not damage its property or steal the property of TUKE, its employees, or students with whom they come into contact during their studies.

7. Through their attitude and behavior, students become equal partners with their teachers.
8. Students arrive at class or exams on time and do not disrupt them by arriving late or leaving early. They come prepared and actively participate in teaching units. During exams, final or midterm tests, they do not use mobile phones, audiovisual equipment, or other aids for the purpose of cheating, relying only on their own knowledge. Personal computers (laptops, PDAs), mobile phones, and internet connections may only be used with the consent of the teacher or examiner.
9. Students can prove their identity with a student ID card (ISIC student identification card).
10. When writing semester or final theses, they do not plagiarize, use organizations or individuals that offer to write final theses, use automated generation of theses using artificial intelligence, and if they draw on other sources, they cite them all correctly.
The Code of Ethics is intended for FMMR TUKE students studying at all levels and in all forms of study. Students are required to comply with the Code of Ethics, act in accordance with its wording, and support it. Violations of the FMMR TUKE Code of Ethics by students are dealt with by the disciplinary committee.
